I'm not actually dead. Although, university commitments make me feel like it. You can catch me at my tumblr for the time being, however I've been wanting to sim a lot more as of late. My downloads folder is still incredibly tiny atm though, so all my creativeness is ending in frustration.

When I catch a break from university I think I might set around to getting back into things properly however when I think about creating again it makes me want to start a whole new Dreamwidth / website / whatever. I have to admit though, scrolling though some of my old posts is deff making me want to go back to creating.

So I haven't actually existed for a while, I'm rather aware of that. I lost my interest in simming / lost 80% of my downloads (including projects) / just haven't had time. Very, very slowly I have been regathering my downloads (which is actually sort of fun) and my desire to sim again has been building.

I've signed up for "Christmas in July" and have been working on a number of object projects for a sim I've been working on. I've also completed a request over @ GOS. It's just nine simple hue colours of the 'Munak Dress'. The sim sporting a Pooklet'd hair (the very orange one with a fringe), is a hair that I've found and am retexturing as well.

I'm also considering starting a new simspage. I have no idea why I want to, just for some reason I want something brand new /:

Firstly, I'm getting spoiled over at GOS. I made a request to swap some of Peggy's clothes to a mesh without heels and Nymphy is kindly doing it for me. I can't wait to make a few Sims with these although I'm thinking I may change the colour of the gold one later on to something slightly more tame.

I've also got another two projects to add (NO OKAY, I CANNOT JUST STICK TO ONE THING AND FINISH IT STRAIGHT AWAY!). I'm working on Pookleting a hair, changing the hue of a plain dress & doing a shitload of recolours for another dress (I advertised this one a while ago and I would have uploaded it by now it's just that I'm having trouble sorting out which colours are what and trying not to give doubles etc).

Right, I actually got my ass into  gear and entered a contest at GOS instead of sitting around thinking about how I would like to enter it. You can check out my entry here. There's a handful of entries so far, so I hope some more people decide to join *hint hint, nudge nudge*. At a later point, I'll probably upload all the pictures here as well as the out takes / extra pictures that didn't make the cut.

Last post I talked about a few tattoo themed posters I was planning on uploading. I tested them in game and they do turn up [Hurray!] you can see an ingame preview here. I'm considering expanding the set so they won't be uploaded quite yet.

I would really like to enter the competition on GOS ( I even have a Sim to use + a skin + a background story ) but I just really don't feel like loading the game etc, hence the current lack of updates. To encourage myself I made a few posters that I hope to use in my lot. While I've ran them through SimPE, that was a while ago and I can't actually remember which ones I used + I need to check them ingame of course. I should upload them, plus a few other small things soon. Pictures used are below.

I was a bit bored and decided to keep playing around in bodyshop after I finished a skin edit (just added two really simple tattoo's so that I can use it in a contest at GOS) so I decided to play around with some Maxis Sims. The above is the first Maxis Sim that I took under my wing - after and before shot (no idea why I put them in that order, silly me). I'm actually really happy with how she turned out. The idea was to keep the same sort of structure / features as the original, however I don't think I did that too well. I did keep those lines around her nose / mouth though. Now that I've made her, I've got to think of a backstory for her before I can play her. She looks quite stern, perhaps she can be a matron or the owner of some form of establishment.

In other news, I'm really quite fond of Peridox's Half-Life 2 Project. The Sims / bodyshop content are not of much interest to men (not my gaming style etc) but I really am enjoying their wall / floors uploads.

Also for some reason unknown to me, I have discovered I enjoy making lists of things - especially Sims 2 content. This is probably going to sound weird, but sometimes I enjoy seeing new content uploaded more then I enjoy downloading it and playing with it in my game.

Just a few simple hue changes to provide some more variety for your Sims. Mesh is from here. There are ten new colours, both categorised as formal & everyday. I have also redone the original colours so that they appear in formal wear and will re-upload them.  I'm not sure if it's too noticeable, but the first two dresses are different to the others - lighter skirts / sleeves etc. They seem less.... 'overpowering' then the other dresses. Should I do a few more of them ? Yes / No / Do some more ____ coloured ones / Katie, you're wasting your time these are crap etc ?


I'm also going to recategorise this dress to casual / formal and maybe do some recolours of this.

Just a quick note, I recently remembered I have a deviantART laying around. It's been dormant for a while, although it does have some old sim pictures on there, along with a few real life photographs and a D-Grayman Exorcist Cross that I made a while ago. I'd really appreciate it, that if you have DA if you drop me a line or that, whether it's to have a look at what I've uploaded or whore your own stuff on my page (which is fine by me, dw).
